More Nacsport in Scottish Rugby
This week, we are pleased to announce that even more Nacsport licences are spreading throughout Scottish Rugby. As you can see from these following hyperlinks, Nacsport is already in use within the Scottish Rugby Union, at Melrose RFC and at Hawick RFC. The original purchases by the SRU and then Hawick RFC came after a training workshop day we held at Murrayfield with Rob Holdsworth for analysts and coaches from within the SRU, the Pro 12 teams and other local clubs. The day was a great success and it’s very pleasing to see the trust that was put in us by Rob and the team, along with the recommendations they provide of us to others, is being filtered further throughout the SRU and rugby teams within Scotland.
So firstly, we would like to thank the SRU and Grant McKelvey (Senior Regional Academy Manager), who have acquired 6 more Nacsport Basic Plus licences to be used by their Regional Academy Coaches. We are looking forward to the continued growth and use of Nacsport within the SRU at different levels as Rob Holdsworth aims to implement more analysis workflows throughout the union.
We would also like to thank Phil Leck for choosing a Nacsport Basic Plus licence for his new club Edinburgh Academical Football Club (“Edinburgh Accies”). We previously met Phil at the workshop day when he was working with Hawick RFC. Phil coached at Hawick RFC and used Nacsport in one of their most successful seasons to date. Through getting Nacsport into the club, Phil was able to provide a role to sports fan Adam Easton who has been profoundly deaf since he suffered meningitis as a baby. Adam filmed the games for Hawick and then used Nacsport to provide video analysis to the coaches and players. Adam’s video analysis work with the team was seen as a huge contributor to their successful season as you can see in this article on the Scottish Rugby website.
