Nacsport Tutorial: Graphic Descriptors and XY Data

How to plot actions onto a pitch map in Nacsport, creating XY coordinate data and a visual picture of where events happen.

Nacsport graphic descriptor pitch map tutorial

A full walkthrough of the Graphic Descriptor tool, available from Nacsport Scout Plus upwards.

Graphic Descriptors let you plot where an action happened on a pitch or court as you tag it. That gives you two things at once: extra descriptor information attached to the clip, and XY coordinates you can work with later.

The session covers adding a Graphic Descriptor to a template, choosing a background image, tagging with it live, and reading the visual output afterwards. It also covers where the XY data goes and what you can do with it outside Nacsport.

If you have ever wanted a heat map or a shot map from your own tagging, this is where that starts.
