AnalysisPro X Barbarian FC

Earlier this month, the Barbarian FC rugby team had a match against the All Blacks XV. In preparation for the game, the team's head of analysis, Jonny Gardner from The Crusaders in New Zealand, reached out to us and requested that we film their training sessions to help them prepare. We eagerly agreed to this request and took our AP Capture Sports Mast to London for a two-day trip.

Barbarian FC

Also known as the Baa-Baas, they are a famous invitational rugby union team that was formed in 1890. The team is made up of players from different clubs and countries, and they are known for their entertaining and attacking style of play. The Barbarian FC team is not affiliated with any national or club team, and they play a number of matches each year against international and club teams. Some of their most famous fixtures include matches against the All Blacks, the Springboks, and the Wallabies. The team has a rich history and has featured many notable players over the years, including Gareth Edwards, Jonah Lomu, and Brian O'Driscoll.

For their match against the All Blacks XV, the Baa-Baas had recruited Super Rugby champions Crusaders’ Head Coach Scott “Razor” Robertson and Stade Rochelais’ Heineken Champions Cup winning Head Coach Ronan O’Gara to lead the team. Players included Joe Marler, Zach Mercer, George Bridge and Camille Chat to name a few.

The players on the Barbarians team have a limited amount of time to practice together before a match, but they still recognised the importance of video analysis in improving their performance and increasing their chances of winning. This highlights the value of video analysis in any situation, as it is a crucial tool for athletes and coaches seeking to optimise their performance.

We would like to say thank you to Barbarian FC, for entrusting AnalysisPro with the task of providing high-quality video footage of their training sessions. We are honoured to have been given the opportunity to support the team as they prepared for their match against the All Blacks XV. Our AP Capture Sports Mast solution is designed to deliver exceptional results, and we are glad that it was able to meet the Baa-Baas' needs. We hope that the footage we provided was able to contribute to the team's success on the field, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
