At AnalysisPro, we love seeing our clients take their performance analysis to the next level. That’s why we were delighted to return to the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff to upgrade the video analysis capabilities for Hoci Cymru (Hockey Wales), the national governing body for hockey in the country. By adding a new perspective to their setup, they have unlocked a more powerful and comprehensive way for them to analyse performance and broadcast their matches.

Building on a Strong Foundation
Hockey Wales has been using a single, end on AP Capture IP camera since we first installed it. This setup has served them well, providing a high-quality tactical view of the pitch that is essential for reviewing team shape, player positioning, and patterns of play. The camera’s reliability and crystal-clear HD footage have been a core part of their analysis workflow for both training and competitive matches.
A New Point of View
To enhance their analytical power, we recently installed a second AP Capture IP camera to provide a side-on, panoramic view of the pitch. This new camera complements the original end-on camera perfectly. Controlled by the same intuitive joystick, the two views are now seamlessly integrated into their analysis and live stream, offering a complete picture of the action.

The Power of Two Angles
So, what does this dual-angle setup mean for the coaches, analysts, and players at Hockey Wales?
Deeper Analysis: Combining the tactical end-on view with a detailed side-on perspective allows for a more granular analysis. Coaches can now scrutinise individual techniques, off-the-ball runs, and defensive spacing with much greater clarity. This comprehensive view ensures no detail is missed.
Enhanced Live Streaming: For live broadcasts, the ability to switch between a wide tactical view and a closer side-on angle creates a more dynamic and engaging experience for the audience. It transforms a simple stream into a more professional-standard production.
Unrivalled Feedback: With two angles captured and instantly available, analysts can provide players with richer, more contextual feedback. Being able to show a player a passage of play from two different viewpoints makes the review process more effective and impactful.
See It in Action
This two-camera system gives Hockey Wales a robust, flexible, and powerful analysis solution. It’s a testament to their commitment to performance and development at all levels of the game.
